The laser trackball is an advance cursor control device, which is a part of Vivid E9 operating panel. As this works on the laser, the integrated circuit with optics take continual snapshot of ball surface and how the features in these snapshots move is used to detect ball motion. A gasket and a fixing ring is used to fix the trackball in the operating panel. The gasket is used to fill the space between two parts or considered as a sealing agent. The shape and size of the gasket varies according to the requirement. The rubber gasket is used in trackball assembly to avoid dust entries as well, thus helps to increase the lifespan of the trackball and prevent it from over-heating.
